From the Waters of Voyageurs National Park

Nearly 200 years ago, voyageurs paddling birch bark canoes full of animal furs and trade goods journeyed through the channels of what is now Michigan's Northern Waters. Today, park goers, fisherman, outdoor enthusiasts, and vacationers travel these same waters that are now called Voyageurs National Park. Created by Congress in 1971, the United States' largest waterways park has over 219,000 acres and no roads. As the park is inaccessible by car, visitors must take to the water directly to fully experience the breathtaking beauty of the clear blue lakes, ancient rocky islands, and towering pined shorelines.

Located in the heart of Voyageurs National Park, Ebel's Voyageurs Houseboat Marina is based on the scenic Ash River and is the perfect place to start exploring the only water-based national park in the nation. For over 40 years Ebel's has been providing trouble free Minnesota houseboat vacations to guests both new and returning. Offering several sizes of houseboats from the ultra modern to the very basic, Ebel's Voyageurs Houseboat Marina allows their guests to escape to the wilderness without leaving anything behind.

Experience Voyageurs National Park in depth and in comfort on the newest addition to the fleet: the brand new 51-foot Vista 2 bedroom houseboat! New for 2012, this modern and spacious houseboat offers two private staterooms, two bathrooms, and a full glass solarium - perfect for watching the nearby doe and their fawn on shore while enjoying a peaceful breakfast in the quiet hours of the morning. Later in the day soak up the warm sun from the upper deck, alternating between riding off of the water slide and sunbathing with a cool drink and book in the lounge chairs. As the day passes, explore the lake cruising in the shade from the bimini covered driving helm. After finding your ideal beach for the night, finish up the perfect day with a friendly game of cards followed by a much deserved whirl in the hot tub, chatting late into the night under the star filled sky.
