Lake Powell - Map & Directions

Lake Powell is in the center of one of the largest undeveloped areas in the continental United States. Page, AZ (near Wahweap and Antelope Point Marinas) has an airstrip that some regional airlines fly into. Many, however, prefer to fly into larger cities such as Las Vegas, NV or Salt Lake City, UT, and drive to the lake.

Directions to Page, Arizona

From Las Vegas, NV and southern California: Take I-15 north through Las Vegas and up into Southern Utah through St George. About 7 miles past St George, take exit 16 onto Highway UT-9 heading east towards Zion National Park. Take Highway 9 about 10 miles to Hurricane. Turn onto Highway UT-59 South (signs say to Grand Canyon North Rim).

Once in Arizona, Highway UT-59 turns into Highway AZ-389. Stay on this highway to Fredonia, 57 miles from the turnoff. Take Highway 89A north 7 miles from Fredonia to Kanab. In Kanab, take Highway 89 east 65 miles to Lake Powell. Follow the appropriate directions below from Page to your destination marina.

From Salt Lake City, UT and points north: Take I-15 south to southern Utah and the town of Beaver. Continue south through Beaver for about 12 miles to Exit 95 (Hwy UT-20). Take Highway 20 east for 21 miles to Orton. Turn south and follow US 89 for 77 miles to Kanab, UT. Stay on Highway 89 as it turns east from Kanab and continue on for 70 miles to Lake Powell. Follow the appropriate directions below from Page to your destination marina.

From Denver, CO and points east: Take I-70 west into Utah and and continue on to Exit 182 onto US-191 towards Moab. Continue south on US-191 for 160 miles crossing into Arizona. Turn right onto US-160 for 75 miles, and then turn right onto AZ-98 for 65 miles to Lake Powell. Follow the appropriate directions below from Page to your destination marina.

From Phoenix, AZ and points south: Take 1-17 north 146 miles to Flagstaff, Arizona.  Take Exit 201 onto Country Club Drive for 1/2 mile and then turn north onto Hwy 89. Drive north 79 miles to Hwy 89T and take it 42 miles to Page, AZ. 

Directions to Wahweap Marina

The turnoff to Wahweap Marina is a few miles west of Page off Highway 89, past the bridge. You'll see signs for Wahweap Marina (Glen Canyon National Recreation Area). If you're approaching from the west on Lakeshore Drive, look for the signs before the bridge, a few miles from Page. Take the turn-off onto Stateline Drive. Go PAST the main Wahweap Marina and then follow the signs to the boat rental office. Keep an eye out for the sign "Welcome to Boat Rentals."

Directions to Antelope Point Marina

Take Highway 98 southeast from Page for a few miles and look for the turnoff to Antelope Point. Turn left just before the power plant onto N 22B and continue for approximately 4 miles. Keep straight on N 22B and keep an eye out for Marine Parkway.

Directions to Bullfrog Marina

From Salt Lake City, UT and points north: Take I-15 south to Spanish Fork, a few miles south of Provo, UT. Turn southeast on US 6 (signs point to Price). Follow US 6 to the intersection with I-70 (about 130 miles). Take I-70 west for 7 miles to Exit 147 (Highway 24). Follow Highway 24 south for 44 miles to Hanksville. Continue south on Highway 95 for 26 miles, then bear right on Highway 276. Continue south on Highway 276 for for 40 miles and look for signs that say "Straight ahead to Bullfrog Marina."

From Denver, CO and points east: Take I-70 west into Utah, through Green River to Exit 147 (Highway 24). Follow Highway 24 south for 44 miles to Hanksville. Continue south on Highway 95 for 26 miles, then bear right on Highway 276. Continue south on Highway 276 for for 40 miles and look for signs that say "Straight ahead to Bullfrog Marina."

From other directions: Bullfrog Marina is difficult to approach from the south or west. We recommend using Mapquest or another online mapping service to get exact directions. You can use the town of Ticaboo, Utah—a few miles from Bullfrog Marina—as a destination.
