On the lake:

• Rock formations such as Napoleon’s Tomb and The Temple near the Temple Bar Marina.
• Cathedral Cove up the Overton arm is a swimming and beach area with soaring walls around it.
• Scuba diving
  • Wreck Alley - Just north of the dam on the northeast side of Sentinel Island - 7 shipwrecks to explore
  • B-29 Bomber - Center of the Overton arm - aircraft crashed on July 21, 1948, requires a tour with a permit

• Alan Bible Visitor Center - 4 miles northeast of Boulder, Nevada—area information and brochures, trail
• Valley of Fire State Park and Visitor Center - Overton, Nevada—trails, rock formations, historic cabins
• Lost City Museum - Overton, Nevada—artifacts and reconstructed pit houses found in the valley
• St. Thomas Ruins - A pioneer town in ruins at the north end of the Overton arm, can be reached via a dirt road on your way to the Valley of Fire State Park.
